Frequently asked questions
What are the benefits of private pay services?
Private pay therapy does not require a referral to initiate services, therefore, therapy can begin quickly! Private therapy can be a supplemental option for additional intervention in a child's week if they are already receiving services through their county, district or insurance. Families often want more therapy minutes than their child is provided in those settings. Private therapy also means your child's sessions can be personalized to their unique strengths and challenges, rather than being limited by formal testing standards that insurance and schools often require. families may find that their child has not qualified for covered intervention but still want an option that is affordable and accessible to address their child's speech and language deficits.
i have out of network benefits! Can you provide superbills?
Yes! we are a registered out of network provider with most popular insurance companies. we are able to provide superbills as often as you require. a superbill is a comprehensive invoice that contains essential details about the services you have received. families can submit these invoices to their insurance company for potential reimbursement, depending on your benefits plan.
What areas do you service?
At this time, Speech in Reach is servicing the following areas in nj: Whitehouse Station, Lebanon, Clinton, Annandale, high bridge, flemington. teletherapy services can be provided for all of of nj & NY.
What is an informal evaluation?
Speech in reach evaluations are informal measures of your child's strengths & speech/language challenges collected through play based assessments. A summarized report will be provided to determine intervention plan.
What if my child has been evaluated already?
If your child has been evaluated for speech and language services in the last 6 months, an evaluation may not be necessary to begin services. please provide us with any informal/formal testing that was completed on your child in that timeframe prior to starting services. Children with an active individualized education plan through their school district do not require an evaluation to begin services. please provide us with the latest copy of your child's iep at the start of services.
Is teletherapy a functional and effective means of intervention?
Absolutely! Teletherapy is a plentiful resource to those that have limited accessibility to services in person. Teletherapy is also a convenient option for families to fit into their busy week. Our unique teletherapy services include engaging activities that incorporate movement, sensory enriching tasks, and access to a large materials library.
